Leadership Burbank’s Class of 2022 completed their ‘Mess Kitchen Project’ supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Burbank – VFW Ship 8310.
The Mess Kitchen Project replaced existing out-of-date kitchen fixtures including the range hood, exhaust fan and evaporative cooler. The immediate need of the project was to raise $40,000 for materials and construction services. The “Mess Kitchen” is the heart of the VFW Hall, as it provides ongoing daily meals and support to the Burbank Community, especially our veterans. Learn more about the project details by clicking here.
The Mess Kitchen Project is the first in the history of the Leadership Burbank to focus entirely on the Burbank veteran community.
On November 15, 2022 the Leadership Burbank Class of 2022 VFW MESS Kitchen Project was covered by the local Fox News – Good Day LA news team as they kicked off the construction at the VFW! In the video you will see both segments that were live on air and a thank you from the Class of 2022!
